Boreas Seabed Mission and the assassin FTW
I have a Assassin that I want to get threw the game. It isn't easy to get in a group either because people haven't discovered what assassins can really do. Anyways, I was on the Boreas Seabed mission. I luckly got into this group that was well balanced but not good enough against the end boss Zhu Hanuku. The build I had was good enough to stop the Jade Fury skill that Zhu Hanuku uses. That was good enough to stop all the dmg that we were getting before I got to use my build against Zhu Hanuku. The build was Leaping Mantis Sting, Fox Fangs, Repeating Strike, Exhausting Assault. The first 3 skills were used to build up to Exhausting Assault. This skill does this "Must follow an Off-Hand Attack. Target foe's action is interrupted. If that action was a spell, target foe suffers from exhaustion." That was enough to really mess up Zhu Hanuku and for my team to beat the mission.
So I hope more Assassins can get into more groups because they may not be a tank, but they are still useful by far.
thx, bye

Glad you found a place. That mission is really not hard. All you have to do is interrupt the boss, the resurrects and drop the spear on him and boom. All his skills are very slow and easily interruptible.
Take a ranger or a ranger secondary and distracting shot and savage shot and he's toast.

It wasn't your Assassin. Interrupts in general completely destroy Zhu Hanuku, which Rangers and Mesmers can do much, much better than an Assassin.

Yeah, this is probably the easiest mission in the game if you've got interrupts.

er... we know that.
But the point he's making is he is the only person on the whole team who was built to do that task... Assassin are underated.
The OP is saying they aren't to be underated... I agree

actually all u need is a good interupter/dazer, broad head arrow works pretty well in that mission, our group whizzed past that mission, finished it in 14 minutes.
The sad thing is most people in guild wars don't know what the assassin can do, they just think assassins are noob tanks that die, well they are not, in my opinion they can take on any class in pvp, and extremely useful in pve.
unfortunately most people don't know what sins can do, and they often exclude sins from groups. i understand your feeling

Thing that annoys me is when I get rejected from a group and the reason given (if any..) is because they take too much to heal?? Don't know about any other 'sins but I zip in, kill something, get out with 30% health, heal up and repeat :/ don't need your healing, few classes could do that *shrug*

Skuld and other assassin proponents, assassins are good in PvP. In PvE they are only good for when you dont get bashed on. Unfortunately, many times people "forget" to bring teleports/self heals and sometimes their common sense (assassin + SS or empathy = dead assassin).
Plus a ranger or mesmer is better at shutdown because you don't need skill chains.

In truth, Assassin Henchmen > Kraken. Beguiling Haze just owns it.
When I toook my Assassin through the game, it was all with Henchies. I didn't even bother trying to find a real group, since I knew how futile yelling out, "Assassin LFG!" would be.
